To provide timely traffic alerts and weather incident notifications on your routes, we collect:
- Account Information: Name, email address, country code, and phone number provided during account registration.
- Commute Routes & Locations: Origin and destination locations, coordinate points (latitude & longitude), departure schedules, and commute days.
- Device Tokens: Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) device tokens and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens for delivering instant commute notifications.
- User Preferences: Notification toggles (on/off), alert radius distance (e.g., 25 miles, 50 miles), and measurement units (Kilometers or Miles).
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Real-Time Commute Alerts: Monitoring active routes for accidents, road closures, heavy delays, storms, and extreme weather.
- Push Notifications: Delivering proactive mobile notifications before your scheduled departure time.
- Route Insights: Providing personalized weekly delay analytics, time saved, and frequent delay corridors.
- Account Security: Authenticating logins, sending verification OTP codes, and protecting against unauthorized access.
Our service relies on geographic coordinates to identify severe weather alerts (NOAA) and road traffic incidents (TomTom / Maps).
Privacy Guarantee: We do not continuously broadcast or sell your live GPS coordinates. Location queries are strictly used to check incidents along your saved commute paths.
We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) to send urgent alerts directly to your mobile device.
Your Controls: You can enable or disable push notifications at any time directly in the app’s Settings > Notifications screen, or adjust your device’s system settings.
We integrate with trusted industry services to deliver accurate route data:
- Google Maps Platform: For geocoding, route previews, and distance estimations.
- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA): For official government meteorological warnings and weather alerts.
- TomTom Traffic: For live incident, accident, and congestion reports.
- Firebase (Google LLC): For secure and reliable push notification delivery.
We implement industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+ in transit and secure database hashing) to safeguard your account credentials, routes, and notifications.
We retain your data only as long as your account remains active. You may request complete account and data deletion at any time.
You have the right to:
- Access, modify, or delete your saved commute routes at any time.
- Update your profile information and contact details.
- Request full account deletion along with all associated routes and notification history.
